This Google initiative is directly in competition with Facebook applications opened recently for web developers. When Microsoft win the bid to acquire share from Facebook and advertising partnership with Facebook many of you might have wondered how Google lost the Facebook deal? But no Google was cooking something else and that was opening of the Google’s social media applications for web developers. Now Google Orkut and other Google social networking partners like LinkedIn and Friendster will be working on one social media application. Other partners like Hi5, Oracle and Salesforce.com are also now on this deal with Google. Facebook opened their code base to web developers and since then thousands of web developers attached Facebook applications which combined the Facebook reach to around 40 million users. Due to many partners and popular Google Orkut social media networking Google will reach around 100 million user base. Google’s open system of social media will allow developers to develop different applications and attach them to their personal social networking pages increasing the reach of Google’s applications. “The Web is fundamentally better when it’s social, and we’re only just starting to see what’s possible when you bring social information into different contexts on the Web,” Said the Google Spokesman. It will be interesting what features Google will allow to add via their open social code base. This is the beginning of social networking war to open the code base to outside developers. Many interesting applications will be the result of this war! Helpfull Links: Imtiaztip With Google Adsense Google Adsense Sign up.
